Shasta graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1995 with a degree in speech and communications.  In 1996, Shasta obtained her paralegal certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute.  In 2013, Shasta was inducted into the Gustavus Adolphus Hall of Fame for Gymnastics and in 2019, was inducted into the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association Hall of Fame.  Shasta uses this same drive to provide excellent customer service to her clients.

Shasta started her title career in 1997 at a local law office, and continued to work as a closing assistant/paralegal for 19 years.  In 2014, Shasta transitioned into a full time closer.  Shasta has many years of experience in all aspects of closing from clearing title and drafting documents to conducting closings.  Shasta prides herself on doing an A+ job for all of her clients.

Charlie came to Watermark Title with over 10 years of experience in customer service. She has spent the last 5 years in the title industry priding herself on efficient communication and organization. Charlie’s attention to detail, sense of urgency, and problem-solving skills help her excel in facilitating a successful closing experience and high customer satisfaction within the fast-paced industry. I have been in the title industry for 6 years, starting out as an admin/order entry and making my way to an executive closing assistant. My favorite part of working in title is getting to know clients and making a good lasting relationship with them. I enjoy that I am always learning something new in this industry. Sophia joined the Title industry in October of 2020 and has a background of 9 years in customer experience. As an Executive Title Assistant with Watermark Title Agency, Tanya Strathman is an experienced closing assistant specializing in Trusts and Estates.  Tanya is knowledgeable about what is needed to clear title and her attention to detail ensures a smooth closing experience for agents and their clients.

Besides working on files from start to finish, she assists closers, Lauren Stockert and Jen Lutgen, in traveling for signatures and documents to facilitate successful closings.

Allie Graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a double major in Studio Arts and Advertising and a minor in Religious and Holocaust studies.  She has 10+ years of experience in customer service and specified hospitality, prior to joining the Watermark Team.  Allie focus’ on treating each guest with the upmost respect and thrives on making lasting relationships with each client during their visit(s).

McKenzie graduate from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD with a Bachelor of Music Education. She previous taught Music Education for 4 years and has 8+ years of experience in customer service prior to joining the Watermark Team. McKenzie strives to  provide the best customer service possible. She has committed to being a life-long learner and enjoys any new challenges.

Merethe joined Watermark Title with over 15 years of experience in the real estate, mortgage and title industry, Merethe is one of the key-members to our team.

Jennifer served in the US Navy aboard the USS Emory S. Land, a Submarine Tender homeported in Norfolk, VA.  After training in Florida, California and Illinois, she joined the ship on its deployment where it was anchored at a remote site off the coast of Oman.  The Vessel tended combatant ships on missions within the Persian Gulf.  Her fun fact; she participated in the Navy’s traditional Line Crossing Ceremony and can officially claim herself as a Shellback.

Jennifer came to Watermark Title with 25+ years in Customer Service and Administrative experience in retail, hospitality and construction.

As the Office Manager for a Residential Developing and Building Company, she was a long-time customer of Real Estate Closing Agencies and her career path seemed to naturally progress towards the detailed aspects of the Title Insurance Industry.  With various experience on all sides of the Closing process, Jennifer enjoys working behind the scenes playing a role from the beginning, middle and end of each file.

Julie comes to Watermark Title with many years of experience in title production. Julie’s unique skillset, customer service, along with her accuracy and efficiency, make Julie a great fit in our production team at Watermark Title.

Kayla comes to Watermark Title after 6+ years in the Travel Industry. Working in various customer service positions has taught her strong attention to detail and communication skills. Her willingness to learn and strong work ethic make her a great addition to the Production Team.

Lisa Blauvelt comes to Watermark with over 22 years of extensive real estate experience.  Working in numerous roles in the real estate world, from closer to production and processing, she provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.  She takes pride in her attention to details and strong organization skills, and will provide the best experience possible for everyone involved.

Nichole comes to Watermark Title after spending the last 10 years as a Sales and Marketing Assistant in the consumer packaged goods industry representing major food and health care manufacturers. With 17 years of experience, Randy brings a wide range of knowledge to the title and real estate profession.

From real estate agent to title processor to title trainer, he has developed a level of expertise and attention to detail that lends itself well to his position as an abstracter for Watermark Title. Randy’s top priority as an abstracter is to bring  an accurate and detailed report of the real estate record to Watermark’s Examination Department.

Annie is an attorney (J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law) and has over 15 years of experience in the Title Insurance Industry.  Throughout those years, Annie has gained experience in multiple areas with particular emphasis in New Construction, Claims, and Title Examination.

As a self-proclaimed “Title Geek,” Annie is dedicated to problem solving and providing exceptional customer service to ensure that every closing at Watermark Title is a success.

Charlie is an attorney (J.D. from University of Minnesota Law School) with over twenty years of experience in title examination. In that time he has completed tens of thousands of title exams, and for eleven of those years he managed a title insurance agency.

Charlie brings to Watermark an extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of title production and customer relations. His goal at Watermark is to continue to provide positive, high-quality service to both closers and customers alike.

Gil comes to Watermark with experience in a variety of capacities in the production process. Gil works with precision, accuracy and a keen mind for addressing all aspects of our production team.

Kris has been in the title insurance industry for over 20 years.  With experience ranging from production to final policies she brings a unique and extensive knowledge base to Watermark Title.   She has experience in opening orders, examining and preparing commitments, clearing title work both locally and nationally, proofing documents for recording, and preparing and issuing final policies.  She spent three years as a trainer with the sole responsibility of training employees how to clear title.  This comprehensive understanding of the closing process allows her to provide an exceptional level of customer service to Watermark clients.

One of the things she enjoys most about the title insurance industry is that every file is different and unique which makes every day different and unique.  She enjoys and takes every opportunity to learn and one of her greatest strengths is her “bring it on” attitude.

Peggy brings over 30 years of experience in the industry to Watermark Title. In addition to years of performing countless title examinations, she has also acted as the manager of several title insurance agencies and has practiced real estate law (J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law).

No matter how many properties she examines, Peggy continues to find the title industry interesting and challenging, and she enjoys doing her part to make each and every closing at Watermark Title a success.

Erica has 25+ years as a manager and closer in the title industry.  Erica strives to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and commitment throughout the closing process.  Erica provides quality customer service to build relationships with clients and more importantly, maintain those relationships by communicating effectively. Erica has provided training, coaching and growth with her employees and coworkers.  Erica’s goal is to guide our clients through the closing process and to ensure they have a great closing experience.

Kara Sieben joined Watermark Title in 2013 and has over 20 years of experience in the title industry. Kara graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Real Estate from the University of Northern Iowa, her seasoned perspective and rare knowledge of the industry allows her to be the advocate both agents and clients are looking for at the closing table.  Kara is an intricate part of the closing process.  She is a strong communicator, willing to answer questions, has the patience and ability to explain things to buyers and sellers who may not be familiar with the process.
